Sahara Force India F1 Team
Sahara Force India Formula One Team is currently in its fifth year of competition in the FIA Formula One World Championship. The team was born in 2008 when Dr. Vijay Mallya, Chairman of India’s iconic UB Group and Kingfisher Airlines, launched the first-ever Indian Formula One team. The cars incorporate the colours of the Indian flag and the team is a sporting representation of the emerging generation of young, aspirational Indians and the growing strength of India as a nation. In 2011 a historic partnership was agreed as Sahara India Pariwar became co-owners of the Silverstone-based team.
